"Gyration Arm" Designs and Materials

 
The most basic and simple design approach.  All animations on this page are shown at 1Hz for visual clarity

This offset counterweight approach allows closer arm spacing then the "Flat Arm Design" above.
Oblique arms allow even higher arm packing for higher performance.  These arms and clamping plates would be fabricated from Kevlar®, carbon fiber or other advanced composite materials to enhance maximum swing frequency for high performance systems.
This design requires the bearings to operate at rpm's higher then the gyration frequency, but might have industrial applications for lower frequency rugged systems.
