Acceleration Concepts

The motion is similar to rolling a ball bearing around in a circular frying pan in a horizontal plane and gyrating the pan around in a small circle.  If the frying pan is gyrated with constant frequency, the ball bearing (or low-friction sliding projectile) will circle around the circle with constant frequency.  The pan could also be gyrated with an increasing frequency to accelerate the ball.
